National Prevention Week

National Prevention Week is a national public education platform showcasing the work of communities and organizations across the country dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of substance use prevention and positive mental health.

2023

This year, NCADD-SFV is planning on bringing NPW events to schools across the San Fernando Valley. One of the most popular ways to raise awareness about prevention is to host a community event or activity such as throwing an ice cream social to reduce stress on campus or by hosting a health fair with community partners.

If you’re interested in bringing an event to your local school, please email our program coordinator Ginny at galiaga@ncadd-sfv.org

2022

NCADD-SFV joins the nationwide effort to prevent substance misuse and promote mental health. We hosted an event for college students at CSU, Northridge in May 2022 to help reduce stress during finals week.
