Community Coalitions

NCADD-SFV Prevention works with a network of community-based organizations implementing evidence-based services. Along with our community partners, we provide services impacting youth and young adults that focus on addressing the contributing factors of availability and accessibility, and social norms and community conditions that contribute to alcohol and other drug use and misuse. Below are a few of the coalitions that NCADD-SFV partners with.

  • Communities in Action Coalition
    • CIA is a coalition of substance use prevention providers, community members, law enforcement, and other local agencies in Service Planning Area 2 (SPA-2). CIA focuses on reducing and preventing community-level alcohol and other drug problems by addressing the root cause.
  • Rethinking Access to Marijuana
    • Based in Los Angeles County, RAM is a diverse group of community-based organizations working together to educate people about the harms of youth marijuana use. RAM is committed to helping LA County residents take action in their communities to minimize youth exposure to marijuana.
  • Los Angeles Drug and Alcohol Policy Alliance
    • L.A. DAPA is a coalition of public health agencies and community stakeholders who advocate for safe and healthy communities. L.A. DAPA focuses on reducing drug and alcohol related harm through public awareness and policy change within the City and County of Los Angeles.
  • Panorama City and Van Nuys Health Neighborhood Coalition
    • The PCVN Health Neighborhood focuses on the needs, resources, and strengths to improve the health and wellness of communities in the Panorama City and Van Nuys area. The PCVN has involvement from health and mental health providers, public health and substance use disorder treatment providers, social service and community support agencies.
